Breathe.
It sound so easy. We all do it without even thinking–most of the time.
But…. there are times in our lives when we feel like we just can’t get a breath. We are drowning in our to-do lists, worries, fears, and the hurry of everyday life.
“Breathe,” a recent song by Christian artist Johnnie Diaz, reminds us as Christian to stop and breathe in the presence of God. My daughter is practicing this song to sing in church so we listened to it several times in a row today, letting the words sink in.
The fast pace of the beginning of the song reflects our daily lives, but the music changes as the writer encourages us to “just breathe.” How often I need that reminder.
Calm down. Rest. Do the one thing that is really necessary.
Breathe.
What is making you feel breathless?
Just as in Luke 10 Mary put aside her worries and to-do list and sat at the feet of Jesus, stop today to breathe in the presence of the Lord in the midst of your circumstances. Let His peace fill your heart as air fills your lungs.

With my family and friends, through the midst of our hurried schedules, I want them to remember the one thing that is needed: Breathe in the presence of Jesus.
But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her. Luke 10:42

Sometimes life goes so fast that if it weren’t automatic, I think we literally would forget to breathe. God takes care of us in so many ways. You shared one of my favorite verses. Thanks for that. I need to share that with my husband. He’s been a bit stressed.
Have a great weekend.
